Booking Terms & Conditions

Payment

Reservations will only be confirmed on receipt of full payment.

Quoted Price- Tour prices vary depending on the number or persons travelling on the tour, and are quoted in dollars. (U.S). Prices quoted includes Vehicle, Driver/Guide, Insurance, Driver/Guides overnight expenses, ( where applicable) itinerary, all fuel costs, Parking fees, maintenance costs, tolls, transfers and local taxes.

Not included in price- Clients accommodation, Ferries, Entry fees to attractions, Lunch, Evening Meals.

All email’s between client and AboutScotland form part of the contract. By paying a deposit you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

Tour Booking. A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking. Full payment including daily fees,  will be due 6 weeks before the tour start date. The final cost will be detailed in a final costs en-mail- acceptance of final costs will complete the contract and any changes or corrections with regard to dates must be made at this point and before final payment is made.  It is up to the client to ensure all information is correct and agreeable.

Insurance- About Scotland Tours, and the vehicles are insured for passenger and third party claims as required by law. However whilst every care is always taken, customers personal property is carried entirely at their own risk and no responsibility can be accepted for lose or damage thereto. Customers are therefore required to ensure that they carry adequate and relevant travel, medical and cancellation insurance- this forms part of the specific contract of the tour and must be in place. In the event of client illness, then the relevant client must accept responsibility for any medical costs incurred and About Scotland, shall not be liable to refund any part of the tour.


Alterations/Alternatives

The Company reserves the right to alter tour itineraries at any time, due to weather conditions, traffic problems, availability of attractions or other such extenuating circumstances outwith our control.

The Company reserves the right to alter the motor coach employed on any tour.


Other Operators/Carriers/Third Party Suppliers

The Company will not accept or have any liability for any acts or omissions whether negligent or otherwise of any supplier (including accommodation and subcontracted coach services) or person providing services in connection with any tour unless such a person is employed by or under the direct control of the Company. Tickets and vouchers for travel on other carriers are subject to the normal conditions of carriage of the individual carrier.

All third party suppliers must be paid in full at the time of booking and customers will be liable for and bound by the terms and conditions of the relevant third party.


Accommodation

Accommodation arrangements for multi-tours referred to are provided independently by third party accommodation providers. Such arrangements are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by these providers, and as such any contracts undertaken are made between the Customer and the third party accommodation provider. All such arrangements are made independently of About Scotland Tours, irrespective of any help and assistance.


Prices

Our current published prices on the website are valid from 1 March 2021 to 1 March 2022
Whilst reduced entry to some visitor attractions may be available, and any such will be made clear by the guide, tour prices are for transport and driver-guide services only. All cruises, visits to castles and other visitor attractions including whisky distilleries are priced separately as optional extras, along with meals and other refreshments and these are at the travellers’ own expense.


Luggage

Luggage is limited to 1 small to medium-sized suitcase or bag per person.


Customer Conduct

Smoking is not permitted on any of our vehicles.

The Company reserves the right to refuse to carry any person whose conduct or manner is likely to cause offence or upset to other passengers. In such cases, full cancellation charges to the passenger apply, and the Company shall have no further liability to that passenger.


Force Majeure

The Company does not accept any liability for any loss, inconvenience or damage caused by war, threat of war, riot or civil commotion, terrorist or criminal activity, industrial disputes, natural disasters, fires, illness, weather conditions, road traffic conditions, temporary technical, electrical or mechanical breakdown within the booked accommodation.

Please note that when giving information for the purposes of making your Booking, you will be deemed to consent to us holding and using that information to send you details of other products and services we provide to intend to provide that we think may be of interest to you.
