Leave Edinburgh, and travel to view the mighty Stirling Castle, and the National Wallace Monument. We then take the scenic route west through the beautiful Trossach’s countryside and over the wild tundra of Rannoch Moor and Glen Etive to Glencoe, an area of natural beauty. Time here to take in the scenery and to learn the tragic events of the Glencoe massacre in 1692. Moving on we continue past Fort William, and the Great Glen to the Commando Memorial, to enjoy panoramic views of Ben Nevis. ( the highest mountain in the UK) Journeying on to Loch Ness, home of ” Nessie”. Options here to enjoy a 1 hour cruise to capture that allusive image of the monster, or perhaps visit the ruins of Urquhart Castle, where most sightings of Nessie, have been witnessed. We then make the short journey to Inverness for the evening. Arrival time approx 6-7 pm.

A short drive from here we shall visit the Clava Cairns, a 3,500 yr old Iron Age burial sight, before travelling south through the Cairngorm National Park to the pretty Victorian Town of Pitlochry. ( time here for lunch or perhaps wander round the towns many gift shops) Moving on we continue south to visit the Hermitage Waterfall, and Dunkeld Cathedral once an important early Christian Centre. It’s then onto Edinburgh, or where ever you are based.
