Discover the mysteriously 15th century Rosslyn Chapel, and it’s intricately carved stone ceilings and ornate pillars. The chapel has been described as like a ” Tapestry in Stone” depicting symbols of the Old Testament, and the ” Knights Templar”. Explore the city of Edinburgh’s historic Royal mile and magnificent medieval castle steeped in history. And diverse yourself in the old towns vibrant culture and ancient attractions.

You shall be met at port by your own private kilted driver/guide. After our introductions you will be transported to the mysterious 15th century Rosslyn Chapel, formally knowing as the Collegiate Chapel of “St Mathew”. Founded in 1446 by Sir William St Clair, the chapel attracts visitors from all over the world drawn to the chapels mysterious and exquisite carvings depicting myths and legends including the ” Knights Templar” and the Freemasons. In 2003 Rosslyn served as the setting point for Dan Browns popular novel ” the Da Vinci Code” and the 2006 movie of the same name starring Tom Hanks. 

After your in depth tour of Rosslyn, we then journey to  Scotland’s capital city Edinburgh. As we arrive at the city’s historic old town, we will take a leisurely drive along the capitals medieval Royal mile, to the towns magnificent and imposing Edinburgh castle. Here you will have free time to enjoy a tour of the castle and a wander along the old towns historic landmarks and quaint cobbled streets alive with vibrant atmosphere and dynamic colourful attractions. 

After exploring the Royal mile, you will then meet up with your driver/guide at the Queens official Royal residence Hollyrood Palace. From here we travel to the summit of Arthur’s seat to enjoy panoramic views of Edinburgh old town, then visit Carlton Hill, to view the Parthenon, Edinburgh’s most impressive monument. From here and if time permits we will take a drive around Edinburgh’s Georgian new town, before making our way back to port.
