Shore Excursion: St Andrews (the home of golf) and the Kingdom of Fife.

My tailor-made shore excursions are specially designed to maximise the time you have while in port in Scotland. On this tour we travel through the ancient Kingdom of Fife to the pretty village of Falkland, Royal residence of the Stuart Monarchs for over 200 yrs and setting for the hit series Outlander based on the best selling novel by Diana Gabaldon. Discover the beautiful medieval town of St Andrews, ( the home of golf) and the oldest University in Scotland, where William & Kate first met.

Full Tour Package Information

Ricki your driver/guide for the day will greet you at port approx 8:30 am. Firstly we travel over the iconic Forth Rail Bridge and through the ancient Kingdom of Fife, to the historic town of Falkland to view the spectacular Royal Palace, residence of the Stuart Monarchs for over 200yrs. The town and fountain was also used as a location for the hit series Outlander, based on the best selling novels by Diana Gabaldon.

Moving on we then travel to the historic Royal burgh of St Andrews, to explore the towns many ancient sites including Scotland’s oldest University, where Kate and William first met, and the world famous Old Course. After a leisurely drive around the historic sites, you will have free-time to explore the old towns medieval buildings and cobbled streets before enjoying lunch at one of the towns many traditional inns serving locally caught wild HAGGIS. ( if your brave enough) After lunch you can enjoy a leisurely walk along the stunning West Sands Beach, location for the hit movie” Chariots of Fire” and visit the world famous Old Course, ( the home of golf)

If time permits we can visit the pretty fishing villages on the Fife coast ( known as the East Nuek) before making our journey back to port.
