2 days tour from Edinburgh


Day 1 The Highlands highlights include;-

  • The impressive medieval fortress of Stirling Castle, ( photo stop)
  • Through the stunning Argyll countryside,
  • Rob Roy’s grave at Balquidder Kirk,
  • The dramatic Falls of Dochart,
  • The pretty highland village of Killin.
  • The spectacular natural beauty of Glencoe,
  • The highland town of Fort William,
  • A stop at the moving Commando Memorial which offers fantastic views of Ben Nevis,
  • The famous Loch Ness, where you can enjoy either a cruise on the loch. Perhaps a visit the impressive 13th-century ruins of Urquhart Castle.

Your overnight stay will be in the highland ‘capital’ Inverness. There is a good selection of restaurants in the city but they can get busy and booking is essential. Your guide will be able to assist you.

Day 2 highlights include;-

  • Culloden Moor where you can visit the Culloden Battlefield and explore its fascinating history.
  • Clava Cairns a 3,500-year-old burial site
  • Cairngorm National Park.

From there you have some options including a visit to Dalwhinnie distillery or alternatively a visit to Blair Atholl Castle. The castle is the ancestral home of the Clan Murray. Arriving in Perthshire, we will visit the pretty Victorian town of Pitlochry.  From there, we will then continue on to the Hermitage waterfall and Dunkeld Cathedral. Leaving Dunkeld behind we then make our way to your accommodation. And there sadly say our fond farewells.
