Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Loch Ness and the Highlands Tour from Glasgow Itinerary
To start our first day, we’ll pick you up from Glasgow and set off on our private Highlands tour.
Day 1 Highlights
You’ll get to experience the stunning & scenic journey to the “Bonnie” banks of Loch Lomond, and explore the delightful conservation village of Luss.
Into the highlands…
As we continue onward, we will enter the spectacular natural beauty of Glencoe, surrounded by impressive high towering mountains and mystical glens, this is one of the most breathtaking highland glens in all of Scotland. Moving on our journey takes us to the pretty highland town of Fort William, where you can enjoy lunch in a locally sourced fresh sea-food restaurant, before we visit the impressive ancient ruins of Old Inverlochy Castle, where on a clear day offers spectacular views of Ben Nevis, Britain’s tallest mountain. Continuing on our journey we travel along the Great Glen, and the beautiful shores of Loch Lochy, to the mysterious Loch Ness, home of ” Nessie” our resident monster. Here you can enjoy a 1 hour cruise on Loch Ness, or alternatively visit the iconic 13th century part-ruin of Urquhart castle. It’s then onto the pretty highland city of Inverness for the evening.

- At Loch Ness, you can enjoy a cruise on the loch itself. Or visit the impressive 13th-century ruins of Urquhart Castle.
Your overnight stay will be in the ‘capital of the highlands’ – Inverness.
Day 2 : Tour of Culloden Battlefield & Cairngorm National Park
Leaving Inverness for day 2 of our Highland Tour, we travel to Culloden Moor. Here we will visit the Culloden Battlefield and explore its fascinating history. Visit the mysterious 3,000 year old Clava Cairns and Standing Stones. Leaving Inverness, we journey south through the Cairngorm National Park, to the picturesque highland whisky distillery of Dalwhinnie, where you can experience a behind the scenes tour of the ancient art of whisky distilling and a tasting of our world famous single malts whiskies. Continuing on we travel further south into the beautiful Perthshire Highlands, where you shall have the option depending on your preference to visit the stunning 13th century Blair Castle, or alternatively spend some time exploring the lovely Victorian town of Pitlochry, and it’s many quaint gift shops for those last minute souvenir’s. Moving on we shall visit the impressive Hermitage Waterfall, and the ancient part-ruins of Dunkeld Cathedral. We then make our way to the spectacular medieval fortress of Stirling castle, for a photo stop, before continuing on to Glasgow where we sadly say our fair wells.
